Tree Day at The Gables

30 Jul Tree Day at The Gables

To celebrate National Tree Day, the Gables Community Program organised a tree planting event on Friday afternoon, 26th July. Current and future residents were invited to plant trees in the rain gardens along Slidey Park. It was great to see children and parents enjoy some green time together!

National Tree Day is a call to action for Australians to get their hands dirty, learn about the natural environment and give back to the community. Since its launch in 1996, the Planet Ark event has seen 25 million trees planted by more than four million people.
