COMMUNITY IN ACTION AT THE PONDS

20 Nov COMMUNITY IN ACTION AT THE PONDS

The Ponds Indian Community Group organised the Navratri Dance Festival at The Ponds High School in October and raised $12,500 for the high school and Riverbank Public School.

The Ponds School held Twilight Markets in November and $4,500 was raised for the school. Well done and thank you to all who supported these events.

A Dog’s Breakfast was organised by The Ponds Community Program and Blacktown City Council as part of the We Love The Ponds Project. Dogs and owners were treated to a delicious breakfast, information and many signed the Scoop the Poop Pledge. Thank you to Aussie Pooch Mobile for sponsoring the coffee van.

A High Tea Fundraiser was held in October to raise awareness about human trafficking and funds to support the rescuing & restoration of victims. A big thank you to Zona and her friends for their hard work. The event was a great success and raised over $3,000 for A21.

The Ponds Diwali Fair, organised by Council of Indian Australians, was a great success and featured multicultural & Bollywood dance performances, festival stalls and a stunning light show.
