CAROLS AT THE PONDS

10 Dec CAROLS AT THE PONDS

Preparations are currently underway for the 2014 Carols at the Ponds. Now in their 14th year this traditional community event has become a much loved and “must do” for thousands of Hills residents. This year over 15,000 people are expected to enjoy the entertainment on Sunday, December 14th.

The theme for Christmas this year is based on the timeless classic “T’was the Night Before Christmas” and has been fully choreographed by Dr Steve Watson. The stage production will feature both well-known and local talents such as David Berry (Home and Away, A Place to call Home), Erin Jamie (Fiddler On The Roof, Cats, King & I, Love Never Dies), The Monique Selwood Dancers and members of the Sydney Concert Orchestra and the Sydney Choir.

Carols at The Ponds is a festival atmosphere with food stalls and fun activities for children operating during the afternoon before the evening concert. Australia’s best-known pyrotechnics experts, Howard & Son’s create the big finale.

Carols at The Ponds is coordinated by Connections, and is sponsored by a range of local and national sponsors including Landcom and LJ Hooker Norwest Group. Free Shuttle Buses will run from 5pm and more information on this free service and the event itself can be found by visiting carolsattheponds.com.au.
