By registering for the connections web site you are required to agree to the following terms and conditions. Violation of these terms and conditions may lead to your membership being terminated and your exclusion from the site.

1) Membership

At present all members of the connections site are able to:

• Browse the site, and add their name and details to their previous locations as may appear in the site
• Search the site by current location and/or previous locations/interests
• Send emails to other members
• Receive emails from other members (notification will be sent to email address provided at registration)

2) Currently access to this site is provided free of charge. Connections reserves the right to charge for all or parts of the service in the future. Details of any charge will be distributed to all members before its introduction.

3) We do not permit any kind of junk mailing or spamming to other members of this site. This clause
is fundamental to this agreement and the functioning of the service. Members are not permitted to interfere with or attempt to disrupt the online services of connections.com.au. Members must not attempt to gain unauthorized access into the site or to extract unauthorized data from the site.

4) By registering for this site, you agree not to use your membership and access for any commercial purposes.

5) You must use your real name and not a pseudonym. Nick names can be used within “Your Details”

6) To safeguard your privacy, we do not allow email addresses or urls in “Your Details.” The Connections service is designed to be used for the purpose set out in clause 1 above. Therefore, members must not include an email address, postal address, telephone number, or web site addresses as part of “Your Details” or on message boards. Members can share that information if they wish once contact has been made with an individual.

7) You agree to keep your input to this site within the standards of good taste. Any member found using abusive or inappropriate language will be excluded from the site.

8) Members are responsible for ensuring that no material you post will be capable of a) infringing the intellectual property rights of another person or entity, b) breaching any law c) appearing to be offensive, threatening, obscene, pornographic, false, or misleading.

9) Members and visitors to the Connections site must acknowledge that we cannot be responsible for the behaviour of other users. We only provide a venue where the connections service can be accessed. You should be aware that we do not screen or monitor all the material provided by members.

10) By registering for this service you acknowledge that connections is entitled to remove and edit content of the site which is deemed to be abusive, inappropriate or which brings the site into disrepute. Users must also recognise that we do not monitor every piece of material that is added and we are partly reliant on other users to bring inappropriate content to our attention. Registration and access may be denied to anyone who we believe are abusing or exploiting our service or other members.

11) All users of this site must accept that misuse, abuse, disruption or inappropriate language in any area of this service will result in immediate termination without notice, and potential prosecution.

12) If you see anything offensive or that may otherwise breach this agreement on the site, then please inform us so that we can quickly act. Do this by using the “Report Abuse” function.

13) Any information within the connections web site is not to be published without prior consent. Please contact us for more information.

14) Membership of the connections site is not to be shared. Each individual must register separately.

15) Members use the connections site at your own risk. Connections has no control over the accuracy of information provided by other users. You should use the same level of caution in assessing information on this site as you do offline.
